HUMANS Exhibition New York City
Santa Barbara-based Art Dealer Crista Dix selects Mourning #5 (from the series How We Mourn) by Jon Wollenhaupt as Juror’s Selection for the HUMANS 2018 exhibition produced by the New York Center for Photographic Art. The exhibition will run from September 25 – August 11 at Jadite Galleries in Manhattan, NYC.
Crista Dix is founder and director of Wall Space Creative, a Santa Barbara-based gallery that specializes in contemporary fine art photography with a focus on narrative and object oriented prints.
“The photo selected for this exhibition was taken in the Faubourg Tremé in New Orleans during a second line procession honoring the artist Prince. A second line street parade, replete with brass bands, is part of a jazz funeral tradition that celebrates life at the moment of death.” – Jon Wollenhaupt
